Artist Bio

Rosalind Faiman Weinberg is a painter and printmaker with a background in the physical sciences. Born in England she has lived and worked in Sweden, France and Israel before settling in the United States. Working in watercolor, pastel, oil, acrylic and colored pencil, her subject matter reflects both her scientific background and her artistic interests.

The artist is an Illinois Artisan and shows her work at Illinois Artisans Gallery in Rend Lake, Illinois, at Gallery 33 in Springfield, and at the slide registry at the Chicago Artists Coalition in Chicago.

A member of The Craft League of Champaign Urbana and a member of the Chicago Artists' Coalition, for at least 10 years, samples of her work can be accessed through the following websites:

Commissions

"Jerusalem's Eternal Light": design in veneered and inlayed wood for Ark Doors for Sinai Temple, Champaign Illinois, in collaboration with John Johnson of Ohio, 2002-2003.

Her work is hung privately in London UK (1966-present), Bradford, UK (1972), Tel-Aviv Jerusalem (1985-present), Camogli, Italy (1966), Australia (1989),Washington DC (1967), New York and the mid-west (1980-present) and in the Hillel Foundation sanctuary and at Sinai Temple in Champaign Illinois (1992).
