As Baudrillard said, 'Welcome to the desert of the real'. I am finding in this journey, that acertain hegemony of identity is continually being dictated by cultural producers that establish an inertia towards the desert. Who and what we are to become must be grounded in a broader, more democratic cosmology that brings into question, as Foucault has, the structures of power and discourses in our world. Though my artwork is situated in this paradigm, I withhold my main disposition to be that of a prayer which evokes hope and a reconstructive stance towards progress and change.<p
