Explore a World of Art
Situated on the campus of University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, Krannert Art Museum is a wonderfully inviting arts environment. Spacious galleries spotlight treasures from the permanent collection that span 6,000 years of fine arts representing the cultures of Africa, Asia, Europe, and the Americas. Our vibrant schedule of special exhibitions is always changing; call or check our website for current information about exhibitions.
Visitors of all ages can take advantage of the many programs offered at Krannert Art Museum: guided gallery tours, artist presentations, films, lectures, and performing arts events. Children and parents enjoy hands-on opportunities at Kids@Krannert events and our bi-annual Family Festival. Docent-led tours highlight the permanent collection, special exhibitions, or specific topics of study. Outreach programs, such as Art-to-Go Kids, Schools, and Seniors introduce the Museum's collection to audiences throughout the community. The Fred and Donna Giertz Education Center offers educators access to a free-loan collection of over 3,800 art and cultural materials suitable for preschool to adult learners.
All Krannert Art Museum activities and programs are free and open to the public.
