artist statement
As an artist in a variety of media, my work is infused with my soulful Latin American roots and a predilection for communication without words. As a woman using camera, brush, or ink pen to capture character portraits, landscapes, and architecture, I want them to be meaningful and personal, yet realistic enough for everyone to interpret through their own experience. I try to give the viewer a way to identify with the emotion I feel when I’m producing a new work.
