Whirlwind Community Outreach Dinner Announced

The Friends of the Whirlwind Project have announced plans for a dinner and brainstorming session to take place at Douglas Branch Library, 504 E. Grove Street, Champaign, on Tuesday, January 24, from 5-7:30pm. An International menu will be served and live music will be provided by the Bow-Dacious String Band.

Members of the public are invited to join the Whirlwind Project board and other members of the community at this brainstorming session in which participants will:

  • Learn more about the Whirlwind Project
  • Contribute ideas for expanding programs and activities
  • Guide the future direction of this grassroots organization.

Note: There will be NO solicitation for funds at this event.

Whirlwind Project Mission Statement
Whirlwind Project gathers people of many faiths and traditions to explore sacred stories through music, dialogue, and the arts,  fostering mutual respect and understanding in our community. Whirlwind Project is a 501 (c) 3 non-profit organization. This is Whirlwinds 4th year and the theme for the Spring and Summer of 2006 is The Art of Being Neighbors.
