Report Issued on Economic Impact of the Arts in Rural Communities

The National Governors Association has issued a report titled "Strengthening Rural Economies Through the Arts" which looks at using the creative economy as a component in rural economic development. It recommends integrating the arts industry into state economic development planning and investing in cultural resources. The report includes examples from many states including Maine, Montana, Idaho, Vermont, North Carolina, North Dakota, Kentucky, Alabama, and New Mexico.
