National Endowment for the Arts Funding Increased

Washington D.C. - The United States Congress recently finished appropriations for the year. The final Fiscal Year 2006 National Endowment for the Arts (NEA) funding has been set to $124.4 million - an increase of $3.2 million, or 2.6 percent over Fiscal Year 2005. The National Endowment for Humanities (NEH) received $141.02 million for Fiscal Year 2006, an increase of 2.15 percent. The Office of Museum Services (OMS) is funded at $30.98 million, an increase of $700,000. Funding for the US Department of Education's Arts in Education program is $35.28 million; a cut of one percent, or $357,000.
