Registration for College for Kids Classes Starts May 1
College for Kids, a summer enrichment program for elementary and middle school students sponsored by Parkland College, helps youngsters learn something new, explore interests, and discover new hobbies. The program's two-week "mini-courses" over a variety of subjects including science, math, language arts, computer science, visual/performing arts, humanities, and fine arts. Illinois Arts Council's Youth Employment in the Arts Deadline Announced
The Illinois Arts Council's Youth Employment in the Arts deadline has been announced. Youth Employment in the Arts (YEA) supports Illinois not-for-profit organizations to provide arts related employment opportunities for high school students. Schools and school districts are not eligible to apply.
The YEA Program has two annual deadlines: The upcoming deadline is July 1, 2005 for programs occurring between September 1, 2005 - August 31, 2006.
The second deadline is January 15, 2006, and will be for programs occurring between March 15, 2006 - August 31, 2006.
