Illinois Arts Council FY07 Youth Employment in the Arts Program Deadlines Announced
The 2007 edition of Illinois Arts Council’s Youth Employment in the Arts (YEA) Program guidelines and application are now available to view and download at the Illinois Arts Council website, www.state.il.us/agency/iac. The YEA Program supports Illinois not-for-profit organizations to provide arts-related employment opportunities for high school students. These initiatives will provide teens with positive cultural experiences and paid on-the-job training. Schools and school districts are not eligible to apply.
The YEA Program has two annual deadlines. The upcoming deadline of July 1, 2006 is for programs occurring between September 1, 2006 and August 31, 2007. However, since the 1st falls on a Saturday, the deadline will be adjusted to Monday, July 3, 2006. The second deadline is January 15, 2007, and will be for programs occurring between March 15, 2007 and August 31, 2007.
