The awards recognize K-12 teachers.
Each year, the Walt Disney Company honors some of the most creative, inspiring teachers across the country with the annual DisneyHand Teacher Awards. The focus of the program is to recognize the teaching profession, showcase creativity in the classroom, and honor those who can assist in developing creative teaching strategies in their school districts. Each honoree will receive a cash award and a trip to Disneyland in California or Walt Disney World in Florida. Nominations are accepted through the website listed above until October 15, 2005. Nominations may also be submitted by calling 1-877-282-8322. Applications will be mailed to all nominated teachers in November.
