big. small. all. champaign county. Announces New Workshop
January 16, 2006
Champaign - Organizers of big. small. all. champaign county. (www.bigsmallall.cc) have announced a new workshop as part of a county-wide visioning effort. The group reports that their program has gotten off to an excellent start due to the strong participation of many interested and concerned citizens at community dialogue meetings held last November. The meetings generated over 2,000 ideas, and these - plus an additional 200 that were submitted separately - provide the foundation for the project's next phase.
The next phase, the Community Assembly, begins with a Stakeholders Workshop on January 27 at the Holiday Inn Conference Center in Urbana. The Stakeholders Workshop is a more intensive discussion of ideas raised in the Community Dialogues and is structured around small group exercises. Members of the public are welcome to participate in this next phase of the project.
The Stakeholders Workshop is a half-day event (8:00 am - noon) and is oriented to an invited group of stakeholders intended to be broadly representative of the community. It is open to the general public, however spots are limited. To attend you need to register in advance (due to space limitations, a spot is guaranteed only to the first 50 persons who register). Those interested in participating should email contact@bigsmallall.cc, or call Frank at 217-328-3313.
