Parkland College to Host Art and Design Faculty Exhibition

Champaign - Parkland College will host its Art and Design Faculty Exhibition August 23 to September 18, with exhibit reception on August 26.

The 2010 Parkland Art and Design Faculty Exhibition offers interesting insight into the mind of the practicing artist. Enjoy a diverse collection of artwork, including painting, drawing, ceramics, metals, photography, design, and new media, from both new and returning faculty. The FREE exhibit will be on display Monday, August 23 through Saturday, September 18 at the Parkland Art Gallery, 2400 W. Bradley Ave., Champaign (Gallery closed for Labor Day, September 6).

An exhibit reception will be held on Thursday, August 26, from 6 to 8 p.m., featuring a talk by faculty artist Chris Berti at 7 p.m. For

Parkland Art and Design Faculty Exhibition: “High Noon with the Artist” lectures
September 9 and 15

Parkland Art and Design faculty will discuss their exhibit artwork during two FREE noontime talks: on Thursday, September 9 with artist Melinda McIntosh and on Wednesday, September 15 with artist Larry Ecker.
