Members of Champaign County's arts community are already busy developing plans for activities, events, exhibits and displays which tie in with the Lincoln Bicentennial. Organizers at the Champaign County Bicentennial Commission are coordinating observances from summer of 2008 through December 2009.

What can you do now?

Artists, educators, venues and presenters interested in participating in the Champaign County Lincoln Bicentennial are encouraged to:

  1. Review the ideas considered at the Lincoln Bicentennial intake session
  2. Visit the Champaign County Bicentennial Commission website for further information
  3. Contact the Bicentennial Commission with ideas (see information below), to register your plans, learn about available funding resources and what others in our creative community are planning
